Born in Hull in 1965, grew up in Co. Durham, England.

Lived and worked in Spain and the Czech Republic before returning to the UK.


Artistic Director, founder and performer with High Hat Theatre

Freelance director and workshop leader                                                             1999-present

Performs and leads workshop residencies in UK and abroad, at festivals, theatres, colleges and schools.

Manages a team of up to 12 personnel, delivering residencies and community arts projects.

Teaches acting at colleges, currently Craven College, Skipton, N Yorkshire        2007


Movement and physical theatre, trained in classical and contemporary mime

Experienced, qualified movement teacher with children and adults

Directing and devising, outdoor performance and movement choreography

Experience of Kathak dance and Indonesian martial art/dance

Writing performances, poetry and prose and playing guitar
